This is the first product released by DivXLand.org, and it is specially designed for calculating audio and video bitrates required for video encoding with specific target file sizes.

  • Requirements: Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP/2003 with the VB6 runtime libraries

  • Languages included: Czech, Dutch, English, Farsi, Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Romanian.

The recommended settings to use for a good quality encoding are:

  • Constant-bitrate MP3 audio with at least 112 Kbps

  • Avoid using video bitrates lower than 700 Kbps

  • Video resolution of 640x480 or larger if required

To find out the current audio information from a media file, either open its Properties dialog from Windows Explorer, or open the file with GSpot to view advanced media info.
